Make your own dressing up rail

Upcycling from items I already have gives me a Incredible buzz. I saw this idea on Pinterest and quickly began to think of what I already had lying around at home to build this.

I started with my daughter’s toy box that I had made for her before she was born, this does get used but I felt she had enough places to store her toys. I found two old planks of wood leftover from a playhouse we built and happened to have a rail that we had taken out of a built in wardrobe.

I simply screwed it all together and added a couple of old hooks from a blind I took down and hey presto! I had made a dressing up rail! I even used some leftover tester paint to bring it to life and changed the label from Maddie’s toys to Dressing up.
