What you need:
- Plastic animals
- Damp sand or magnetic sand works really well
1. My little girl loved stomping the animals through the sand. We also played games where I would stomp an animal through and she had to guess which animal I had used or vice versa.
2. Allow your child to dip the feet in paint and create footprint patterns on a sheet of paper.
3. Talk about how animals have different footprints and they can be tracked by following them. Read ‘Whose tracks are these’ by Jim Nail.
