Felt threading busy bag

This is a really easy busy bag and so much fun. Let your toddler thread different felt shapes onto plastic swirly straws. Keep all the bits in a B5 zip bag so they are not as likely to get lost.

Age: 18 months +

Skills: Fine motor skills, colour and shape recognition.

What you will need:

  • twisty plastic straws
  • felt

How to make:

  1. Cut out shapes from the felt.
  2. Make a hole in the centre using scissors.
  3. Let your child thread the shapes onto the straws.
  4. For older children get them to thread them in a colour sequence or discuss the different shapes and colours.
